When should I NOT get a wax?

You should avoid waxing if you have recently been exposed to the sun (naturally or in the tanning salon), will be exposed to the sun in the near future, have just exercised (including swimming) or if you are taking any medication that increases skin sensitivity such as Accutane, Retin A, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Differin, Tazorac, Avage, Strivectin, Renova, ProActive, Avita, Benzoyl Peroxide. All of the above can enhance skin sensitivity that could lead to lifting of the skin when removing hair. Please let us know if you use any of these. It is a good idea to refrain from using these products a few days before your service.
